Unfortunately, the latest version of Safari (14.0.3) has introduced an issue for Salesforce on Lab 3b, Step 36. When users click New Rule, they see an erroneous message about an internal server error and they can't continue to the next steps.

Until this is fixed, students can make a quick/easy change to Safari preferences that will fix the issue. The fix is now posted to the Help FAQ at MaxzPlace. (Alternatively, students can switch to Chrome for macOS. )

Sorry for the hassle. Hopefully, the next update of Safari will fix this!

A new known Salesforce bug is being reported in the last 2 days -- SF displays an Internal Server Error message erroneously after students install Max's Pitch Package at the beginning of Lab 1b, apparently in Safari only.

Please note this does NOT affect the installation. The package is installed and functioning properly. Students can ignore the message and carry on with the instructions.

We expect a fix coming from SF soon -- hopefully in a few days. In the meantime, please let your students working Lab 1b know that they should ignore the message and carry on and/or switch from Safari to Chrome. Thanks!

Both labs 3a and 3b have been updated with mostly minor fixes to typos, improved screencaps, etc with one notable alteration to 3a:

One new step has been added at the very end (Step 158) to take fuller advantage of the opportunity to learn CRM functionality–students move a lead from Open - Not Contacted to Working - Contacted after confirming receipt of an email to that lead. Students will see this depicted in color-changes to those two stages in the "Sales Path" as:

and this is an alteration to that screencap deliverable (Checkpoint 4) that could be easily added to the rubric to ensure they did the new last step though it is not especially consequential–the purpose is really just to take full advantage of the context that the previous steps have led to at that point. Now students get a chance to see the fuller CRM functionality available.
