The Max Labs represent a radical departure from the traditional "today-you-will-learn-how-to-add-data-to-a-table" style of classic lab exercises. Instead, they're designed to be experiential and engage today's iGeneration students with a compelling story, delivered the way they like getting their information best–social media. 

 

A 2016 AMCIS paper describing the development and use of the Max Labs at San Jose State University was recognized by AIS as the Best Conference Paper in IS Education for that year. Since then, a number of universities in and outside the US have used the labs to enrich their students' learning experience. We are proud and honored to have helped so many students appreciate the power of technology in helping enable and empower organizations as part of the digital revolution.
