Just a reminder to refresh your lab docs for students whenever you start a new term, to be sure you're using the latest, greatest version. Our last update was made on 8/17 so if you refreshed after that, you're good to go. If not, please refresh before you distribute to your students.

The header says it all, but to clarify - as of last weekend, all Salesforce "orgs" (accounts) are on Summer 24, so the recent Lab 3b update posted on 6/4 is the one everyone should use when working 3b at this point.
Salesforce will be completing their Summer 24 Release in phases this coming Saturday night (6/8), for some servers, and the following Saturday 6/15 for the rest. Some students may see their accounts updated this weekend, while others, even in the same class, may see it the weekend after this. (It all depends on the random assignment of accounts to servers when the accounts are created.)
After next week, everyone will all be on Summer 24, but next week, your class may include a mix with some students using Spring 24 accounts and others using Summer 24 accounts. That creates a small complication for one week.
IMPORTANT: Students working Lab 3b with a Summer 24 account will need to use the new version of Lab 3 (13.7) that we updated just now, in place, as always, in the shared Google Drive folder. Here is the direct link to the new Lab 3b PDF (13.7) for use with Summer 24 accounts).
However, students working Lab 3b with a Spring 24 account will need to use the previous version of the Lab 3b instructions (13.6) which you probably already gave them but can still be found at this direct link.
How does a student know whether their account has been updated to Summer 24 yet or not?
After logging in, whenever they switch between Setup mode and the Marketing or Grader app (or back again), if they are using the Summer 24 version, they will always see this logo flash by (very quickly - watch closely):
Otherwise, if their account is still on the Spring 24 release, it will flash this logo each time (again, very quickly):
Bottom line: After next week it will be easy because everyone will on on Summer 24. Until then, students need to use the 3b version that goes with their release status.
Sorry for the hassle. It's a tradeoff that comes with using real, live enterprise cloud technology but we hope you feel it's worth it to give students that experience & exposure!
