A new version of Lab 1b (v13) has now been posted in place in that same Google Drive folder here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1RBHnDguzb8Jas79nXgaKoXyt5BCRs4M3?usp=sharing This new version addresses that Salesforce made to the report interface as part of the Salesforce Summer '22 Release that just completed yesterday. The interface change affected Steps 81, 103 and 138.

The new version of 1b in the Google Drive now accommodates those changes and should be used by all students going forward.

This Spring marks our full release of the Max Labs Grader app after a successful beta release last Fall! During break, we ironed out the kinks and upgraded the features & interface to make it easier to use and more helpful for students trying to fix the snags they run into.

We also made another 40-ish minor tweaks to the lab documents themselves to clarify instructions, prevent mistakes and make the experience smoother for students overall.

The lab files have been updated in place as usual in that same Google Drive folder so please be sure to download & distribute them for use this Spring.

We're thrilled to announce the long-awaited "smart" (free) auto-grader app is now available for use in the Fall term. Students install the app in their Salesforce accounts and then run it to score their work. The students get immediate feedback with details on any mistakes and specific instructions on how to fix them and re-grade. When they're ready, they generate a secure, watermarked grade certificate showing their name, student ID, lab # and score (as a percentage) that they can just screencap and submit for credit!

Instructors merely record the scores from the certificates - no more grading checkpoint screencaps showing Salesforce displays. And troubleshooting is greatly reduced since students get detailed error reports and fixing instructions directly from the app.

So now students get instant feedback whenever they want it so more should get perfect scores and the rest should at least get better scores, with less confusion and hassle.

The lab docs for students have been updated with new cover sheets that now link to this MaxzPlace web page with instructions, video demos, & the link to install the app. The updated lab docs are in the usual Google Drive folder where you normally go to download them for your students.

Note: If you're on a tight schedule for class and you'd rather just stay for now with the previous instructor-graded version where students submit the screencaps showing their Salesforce screens, those docs are still available in this Google Drive folder. They have been slightly updated in the last week for minor fixes so you should download them fresh now, but they are the same instructor-graded labs you are used to.
