The URL appearing in Step 5 of the Lab 1b instructions uses a URL shortening service, tiny.cc, to make it easier to type. They are normally quite reliable but today the service went down unexpectedly about 8 hours ago (12:30am PDT today), making the link inoperable.

In the meantime, students can bypass tiny.cc by simply going directly to the destination page using this link:

The Help FAQ at the student support site, MaxzPlace has been updated accordingly so students will always be able to get the fix immediately themselves right away, now and in the future.

Apologies for the confusion/hassle. Thanks for your understanding.

Unfortunately, the latest version of Safari (14.0.3) has introduced an issue for Salesforce on Lab 3b, Step 36. When users click New Rule, they see an erroneous message about an internal server error and they can't continue to the next steps.

Until this is fixed, students can make a quick/easy change to Safari preferences that will fix the issue. The fix is now posted to the Help FAQ at MaxzPlace. (Alternatively, students can switch to Chrome for macOS. )

Sorry for the hassle. Hopefully, the next update of Safari will fix this!

A new known Salesforce bug is being reported in the last 2 days -- SF displays an Internal Server Error message erroneously after students install Max's Pitch Package at the beginning of Lab 1b, apparently in Safari only.

Please note this does NOT affect the installation. The package is installed and functioning properly. Students can ignore the message and carry on with the instructions.

We expect a fix coming from SF soon -- hopefully in a few days. In the meantime, please let your students working Lab 1b know that they should ignore the message and carry on and/or switch from Safari to Chrome. Thanks!

Sorry for the hassle!
